Unfortunately, even though I have installed the latest driver, updated Monkey itself, and plugged my X3 Live directly into a USB 2.0 port (not a hub), Monkey does not detect the X3. Apparently, using the X3 Live as a dongle this is just a matter of clicking a button and restarting the X3. I think that the problem might be authorisation.Īs I understand it, one has to authorise the Pod Farm plug thru Monkey. I started DP, it runs its validation on the Pod Farm AU, it says that it passes, but then DP crashes as it finishes its start-up routine. The stand-alone app opens up OK, but because I have an X3 Live, and the stand alone version of the Pod Farm doesn't come free for me, it doesn't do much, so I need to use Pod Farm as an AU within DP.

I installed the new driver and restarted.

I downloaded both Pod Farm and the new driver (Gear Box update as well, but I didn't install that).

My music computer isn't on the 'net, so I don't go thru the Monkey. The only thing that I have changed in my (previously stable) configuration is Pod Farm. DP says that it passes AU validation, but DP crashes on opening. Pod Farm, now out, would seem to be tres' cool, but the plug won't work for me in DP 6.01. PS: Used this with Logic Pro 8.0.2 last night, for 1.5 hours, didn't see any obvious problems. If you have specific Line 6 gear you get a free upgrade, but you need to check the Line6 site for the details. If you get the old GearBox Gold package from Amazon or Sweetwater (or a similar place) while they still are around, for $99, you get a free upgrade so that's also a good deal. PodFarm will be used every day in my case, mostly as it's fun using it and exploring all kinds of interesting guitar sounds. Not to speak of the bass amp and effect simulations. Not to speak of all the voice pre-amps, in combination with other stomp-box effects, so you could have fun with voice productions. It opens up so many avenues, for example doing late sixties psychedelic rock with the funky fuzz boxes and cranky amps. I got it last night, and I must say, this is the most fun plugin I've encountered this year, for sure.

Yes, the old GearBox plugin will still be available (for legacy projects) and the presets from GearBox will be imported into the PodFarm environment. Haven't installed yet want to make sure GearBox will still be usable as a backup (I think I read somewhere that you can keep both plugins available). Tremolounge wrote:Free upgrade for GearBox owners.
